The main aim is to support SME internalization through identification of external market for their exportable products. SMEs in Cambodia have been producing a wide range of products capable of capturing the external foreign markets. However, it is common that SMEs in the first stage of internationalization would require support with systematic procedure and process of obtaining information about the external markets.

Objective:

  • To facilitate the SMEs of the Cambodia in identification of external markets for their products;
  • To develop a pool of experts across various provinces in Cambodia who are well acquainted with the product market identification process with the help of trade data and using simple and effective trade analysis tools; and
  • To develop product – market identification system by using requisite software developed for the purpose which can be readily used by different producers of Cambodia seeking external markets for their products.

Outcomes:

By the end of the training program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the various trade related information sources available; and
  • Understand and apply the scientific procedure towards step by step analysis of building trade related data into meaningful and useful information towards business decision making.
